Non-profit

Building for nonprofit organizations often requires managing special governmental requirements, coordination with building committees and in-kind donations. Our familiarity with regulatory requirements and our ability to build successful relationships is key to fulfilling the organization’s vision.

TGCC takes pride in working closely with many non-profit organizations throughout the Pacific Northwest to keep costs down with quality construction.

This new 27,000 sq. ft. facility, built with a wood frame and timber structure, included a new sanctuary, offices, and classrooms. Special construction features included high vaulted ceilings and extensive finish carpentry.

Example Projects

Old Mill Center for Children & Families

Corvallis, Oregon

A 16,400 sq. ft. expansion of this facility was made in three separate phases without interrupting Old Mill’s vital services to the community. Construction was wood-framed and surrounded the existing building on three sides. The new areas included offices, meeting rooms, classroms and physical therapy room along with extensive parking and site work. One of the most challenging aspects of this project was cost-efficient construciton without impacting neighboring wetlands.

Philomath Youth Activities Club

Philomath, Oregon

This 4,715 sq. ft. wood framed structure included an additional 912 sq. ft. of unfinished space on the second floor and a 1,425 sq. ft. canopy serving as a covered play area. Vinyl siding with CMU veneer and a structural CMU end wall at the canopy complete the building’s exterior. Various in-kind donations from subcontractors supplemented the construction costs.

Boys & Girls Club of Corvallis

Corvallis, Oregon

The 37,000 sq. ft. youth facility features a full-sized gymnasium/multipurpose room, a stage, and numerous activity and computer rooms. Joining the project team early on, we were an integral partner in the pre-construction, value engineering, in-kind gifts, and construction processes.

“Our congregation has been blessed with a beautiful new fellowship hall, offices and an expanded awesome sanctuary. This has been made possible through our Lord and Savior, monetary donations and a fabulus contractor, T.Gerding Construction. Thank you for all of your many months of hard labor. We are now enjoying our new buildings.”
